The new truck got smacked and took most of the impact on the wheel and messed up the left front steering, suspension and 4wd. The truck called in sick the next morning by sending me an email that there was a powertrain malfunction. Guess the impact messed with the 4wd.
Waiting for the police report and insurance info from the drivers of the 2 vehicles that caused the accident. My thoughts are I have a new truck and the value is going to take a significant hit due to an accident on record. Does anyone have any experience in diminished value settlements? Has anyone stood their ground for a new vehicle settlement?

Guaranteed you won't get what you paid for it. Frame damage and it's totaled per insurance Co. Don't remember the trick used to sell, then buy back and get fixed.

Insurance companies are not in business to pay out claims. They will hold out forever!
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect. Some people live an entire lifetime & wonder if they ever made a difference in the world, a veteran doesn't have that problem. Reagan

My son`s vehicle had 35K worth of damage 4 years ago. Insurance fixed it instead of totaling it. He traded it in one year after it was fixed and got lucky. One dealership checked to see if it had been wrecked and one didn`t when he traded it in. The difference was 8,000 dollars.

I just submitted my diminished value claim on my truck today. Paid a service for the write up. Truck was rear ended and did 10k in damage. The diminished value was 3k. I submitted the paperwork about an hour ago. We will see.

Any progress on the diminished value aspect?
Still waiting on USAA to accept fault and start the claim. I was sitting still in the turn lane when I got hit, police report faults their driver. In the mean time my truck is parked and not driveable.

I bet I've got 20-30 calls, they found my business, cell and wife's cell number somehow and started calling just a few days after the accident .

I noticed a new ad on a Boerne billboard a few days ago - just the words "36 Billion" (I may be off on the number, but it was definitely "Billion") over a HUGE picture of Thomas' mug. Nothing else.
