I started hunting at 10 years old. Quit hunting 4 legged deer and started hunting 2 legged dear in my early 20's. Quickly got back to hunting 4 legged deer and have never stopped since.

The OTers aren't gonna answer the poll.

Maybe, but I suspect you're going to find out your 50/50 estimate is pretty far off.

Not as much as I used to, this 74 year old body is WAY out of warranty. But I ain't stopping.

I have not taken a deer in probably 5 plus years. The only thing I now hunt are coyotes and coons.

I suspect that on a hunting forum, the majority of people responding will be active hunters. That is part of the reason they are active on a hunting forum.

Exactly....folks saying 50% of us are non-hunters is absurd. "Know-It-All" folks in every crowd I suppose.

Been hunting for right at 50 years this fall and, Lord willing, I will get in a few more.

If you see me out of the house, I'm either going hunting or coming home from hunting...unless I'm fishing, sometimes I hunt and fish on the same day.

Lost my lease and haven’t hunted for two seasons. Spent more days in a treestand the last 12 years than most will in their life. Hopefully some of those guests that I took will repay the favor. I’m out of meat.

Yep, that's how we eat.
Look forward to archery elk season every year but have yet to take an elk with my longbow.
Rifle season puts meat in our 3 freezers, usually elk, deer and antelope.
Getting older but not quitting any time soon.

For about 56 years. Had a few years in my early 20's where two legged dear were a priority. Usually put a few deer, turkey, wild hog, and other assorted meats in the freezer each year.

Yes. Literally currently. I’m always hunting unless I’m asleep.

I’m 64. I don’t hunt as hard as I used to but it is still over 60 days/year spread around 6-8 states. I also knock around some in the OT and the bunker.

Haven't even tried for the last few years. I developed severe inner ear problems that cause me to stagger and stumble because I have terrible balance now. Last time I tried to swing my trusty Winchester 101, I kept spinning and went to my knees.

You mean in Junction or Menard? You know, the trashy side of the Hill Country. I haven't been back to Fbg. since we sold 5 years ago. Too fancy-schmanzy for my blood.

Dove when I was in 70s. hogs now in the 80s. Never shot a deer but tried a couple times.
