My bench scares me most of the time. It’s too big maybe and my organizational skills have always been lacking.

I learned from the experience of others. My bench is about 3 feet long and 2 feet deep. All that is mounted to it is my press and a powder drop. It only has room for one chambering at a time. All of my components are in a separate cabinet. When I decide to load a specific chambering for a specific rifle I go to my notes, then go to the cabinet to 'shop."

Slow Drifter, your order and discipline are impressive! I'll bet you made your bed without being told to when you were a kid.

If you think that is a mess, I'd hate to know what you would think looking at my reloading bench.

At least yours looks like a loading bench.
My bench is 2' x 8' and lives in my "office" and has my PC monitor and keyboard on it, and is where I deal with bills, correspondence, and other non-loading duties. As a consequence it is always trashed out. And when I DO try to straighten up, there are always those last few miscellaneous do-dads I can't get myself to throw out. Those things multiply in the dark of night.

I have to keep mine organized because it's a work bench too. My presses all have quick plates so they're stored away until needed. My '70's harvest gold (yellow) metal filing cabinet helps a lot and so do my two plastic GM parts bins.
Pass the gravy.

I've got 16ft of bench top and let's just say, it's full

Nice setup. Your bench is tidier than mine.

I am like 1955. I am building a 12’ X 16’ bedroom slash reloading room and all my building accessories are on or in front of my bench.
some people like silver and gold I like brass and lead with a little powder in between

Just wait until you get a large amount to supplies and reload for over 120 different calibers . My bench has 1400 boxes of different bullets set out [ I keep the main hoard stored and just restock as needed ] ] , I just keep only about 10,000 primers set out to use [ same storage ] , about 40 different types of powder set out [ the large amounts are stored elsewhere ] and cabinets of dies . Luckily a good friend is a cabinet maker , he made the special cabinets and desk to hold that kind of weight .

Remember the old rule of thumb..... "If a messy bench is the sigh of a messy mind, then what is an empty bench the sign of?"
"Group think" is not thinking. It is the lack of independent thought. It is a cancer of the mind.
