Due to customer requests, Custom Reloads of Dallas is offering Ammunition Reloading Classes. Reloading 101 is for the basics and Reloading 201 is for more advanced reloading techniques. This class is for Reloading 101. In this class, we go over the basics of reloading. This class will offer 2 hours of discussion and information on the How-To's of reloading and an hour of "hands on" experience with you behind the press, with dummy ammunition rounds showing die set up for sizing and bullet seating.

Up to 6 people per class to keep the class small. I have 3 single stage press stations to work from, with 2 people at each station working together for die set up and reloading. I have had multiple people take my class after taking the "free" classes at the big retail places. Their comments were related to more confused than when they went in. And they often go over the gear to try to sell you.


What the class will cover:


Case prep- new brass and sizing fired brass, die set up, die types and options

Priming- options and selection

Powder options and selection, understanding powder burn rates for certain cartridges

Bullet selection, bullet seating, COAL and Ogive measurements

Press options (single stage vs progressive)

Scales and weighing powder

Student to provide 2 calibers/cartridges you would like to discuss for loading, and we will go over the load info for them



We will start at 6 pm and go til 9 or 9:30 pm. Dinner will be provided. Sandwiches will be from Jimmy Johns, (https://www.jimmyjohns.com/menu/) and I will provide additional chips and drinks. Please see the Jimmy Johns menu and let me know which sandwich # you would like. Include your sandwich selection in the "Order Notes" at check out!!! Class size will be limited to 6 people, max.



Cancelation/Refund/Rescheduling Policy- You may cancel the class up to 14 days or more in advance, for a full refund. If you need to cancel or reschedule with less than 14 days until the class, we will schedule you on the next available class, or one you can make. This is due to a small class size and planning the schedule. You are "reserving" your spot for this date, and allowing 2 weeks time to re-fill the spot if cancelled. We will need to have 2 people minimum for the class. If less than 4 people, we will cancel the class and move your reservation over to a future class.

Nothing but praise for this class.

I am an experienced reloader, but this class opened my eyes to mistakes I have been making, explained some things I did not understand, and showed me how to improve what I produce.

A huge amount of content; it was like drinking from a fire hose - even with my experience.

Even at this pace, Chad was completely patient to answer all questions in a way that I could understand.

Highly recommended, regardless where you are at as a reloader.
