Great day at the range! My 10 year old tried to wear out a Bergara .22 and. Sig Cross that Judd re-barrel in 6 Creedmoor. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2024/07/full-692-424420-img_6764.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2024/07/full-692-424421-img_6767.jpeg) Not a bad 3 shot group for his first time off a bipod! 1” circle ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2024/07/full-692-424422-img_6768.jpeg)

Awesome! Thats a great combo of components, well done.
I am really liking the MCS PH stock at this point. I have seven builds out there on them and two more in the works, they are working well.
Keep those young ones shooting, they will be the ones to carry this all on.

Not much to dislike with that setup...you done good with the part picking. Makes the assembly job way easier on me Thanks for letting me build it. The Manners PH and McMillan's new Mountain Tracker are two great stocks...weight nod going to Manners and paint/colors going to McMillan. That's the 4 or 5th saum I've touched and they've all been impressive. I think a 16" barrel shooting 120-130 bullet is about the perfect box blind gun. Always cool getting the kiddo out shooting...loved how much he liked shooting that 22.

I am very glad you are happy with it!
It's tricky business masking off a carbon fiber barrel. It certainly is a good looking rifle. And, being Judd's machining, I had no doubt it would shoot great!

Appreciate it. Yes Judd being meticulous transfers great to rifle work, but all that range time did was cost me another $1000. Bought that Bergara .22lr this morning, and now need a scope. However, I'd rather him be burning power and time behind a rifle than inside on some iPad or video game. I am very glad you are happy with it!

He did great on the coating. I really want to try and see if I can get some black paint into all the etchings on the receiver. I thought it would make it pop more. Anyway, thanks again. I need to bring Garrett out to your place, and do your class with him. He's old enough now that I think he could run a rifle to 500-600 yards, and he's smart enough he'd soak up all the info. Only problem would be the constant lessons I'd have to endure on how I'm wrong after we are done.

You can shoot flat black paint into the engraving, and then instantly wipe off the excess with a cloth soaked in acetone. May need a couple of clean cloths to get it right. I'd be happy to have yall come out!

Nothing spends quite like BarneyWho's money JG gets a hold of G he will be trash talking all MOA scopes and telling us how FFP is the ONLY way to go
