Doesn’t look like any coral snake I have ever seen but what other snakes have the red and yellow touching?

Red Touch Yellow - Kills a Fellow
Red Touch Black - Venom Lack
Yellow Touches Red - Soon You'll Be Dead
Red Touches Black - Friend of Jack

Looks like it’s a big coral snake.

Very odd pattern and 'flecks'.

Unfortunate not to have view of head or tail.

Helpful to know what city/region the snake was in when the photo was taken"

Need a photo of the head but looks like a giant coral, not many grow that big. Scarlet king snake would be black touching red.

Sent the photo to a friend of mine who is a herpetologist.

Get his take on it (with limited info).

Waiting to hear back from him.

My initial impression is that it is an oddly marked Milk Snake or possibly a King Snake.

It would indeed.

A nicely patterned Copperhead Skin makes a nice hat band....but you don't see that very often.

Usually rattlesnake which is so over-used and common.
