So I have 2 cans sitting in NFA jail on a trust. I got a BOGO third can that just shipped to my dealer. Trying to decide if I want to file that one as an individual or put it in with the other trust cans, maybe it will shake things loose and get all of them approved at once. Well my BOGO can came in 12 days ago. After I certified it with my dealer I filed a Form 1 to SBR a 10-22 Takedown and submitted it that night. Form 1 was approved today, nothing on the three Form 4's.

just got approval for one I screwed up and bought with a trust, submitted 4/1 approved 5/20.
my last one was a .22 that took less than 8 days and the first 2 suppressors last yr. were about 9 months.
buy individual, much faster lately.
eForm 4 - TRUST: 2 Days through 6 Months 110 Days eForm 4 - INDIVIDUAL: 1 Day through 6 Months 4 Days
if you are in north Tx. I highly recommend BPS outfitters in sherman, awesome store, great people and they carry a good selection of suppressors etc. they also have the silencer shop kiosk for anyone needing to set things up the first time, fast n easy. update: got the trust approved monday, submitted 4/1 and approved on 5/20, whole lot better than last yr.

Purchased my first can as an Individual vs a trust and it took 6 weeks. Right now the ATF is supposedly having issues approving anyone with a cadence in their name (Sr, Jr, or ll)).

I have had free tax stamps on 3 out of 4 I have bought, silencer shop is the only place I see doing it. had to buy the stamp on the 22 I got a couple of weeks ago. if you are patient they likely will have one you like with it. https://www.silencershop.com/catalogsearch/result/?cat=&q=free+tax+stamp

Well, got the first form 4 back on 6/4, application made on 1/29 for an NFA LLC. Naturally, the machinegun that goes with the suppressor is still pending lol
So 128 days total.

My last suppressor took 20 days from purchasing at Silencer Shop to having it in my hands. That was in April.

Got a deal with silencer central through ducks unlimited last year at a banquet dinner for the Frisco chapter.
Bought on 11/28/23 - all through their online process, not the greatest in my opinion, haven't even held the can in my hands. Bought blind and unseen haha 190 days! Got ATF approval on June 5, 2024 now its the waiting game, had to get acknowledgement from local law enforcement that a suppressor was being shipped to my house.

Just got the form 4 for the first transferable MG - eform 4 into an NFA LLC.
129 days (forgot that we had to cancel the 1/29 application and revise it due to a typo, so the submission was on 2/5)

and this is after waiting 190 days for approval...

Q Mini Fix SBR...5 business days. Q Trash Panda...3 business days.
Both individual

I bought another one last week, now I’m counting down the days. The shop said 90-100 days since it is a Trust.

Finally got my suppressor delivered to my house on Saturday, felt a huge relief since I waited 190+ days, initial order was placed on 11/28/23
Once I opened the box, took a look at the can, everything was ok. But then I noticed I ordered a piston, but they sent me the wrong part - a direct thread mount for a completely different suppressor was in the box. Talked with a mouthbreather of a customer service rep, she acted like a complete bitch on the phone - said that I'm in the wrong and do not know anything about suppressors. hung up on her and called back, and finally got someone with some sense - if you ever have to deal with silencer central, first do not, but if you have to ask for Mike. Good guy, understood that I was frustrated, and owned up to the mistake that was made. But its going to be another week until the right part is delivered to my house...waiting to see if they will be willing to overnight it.
sorry for the random rant, but I would not recommend silencer central to anyone on here. It was somewhat convenient to do the whole process from home, but it was more frustration and negative experiences, that can outweigh the positives. If i had to do it again, i would go through grabagun - been dealing with them for years on multiple NFA items, and would do it again if i didnt have a free suppressor voucher to silencer central.

I would do grabagun but he is too far. you know where the range is, c'mon and test it out.

Applied for two last August (form 4 eforms) crickets crickets crickets Called ATF for status last month and was told “waiting for NICS that’s all we will tell you”, emailed the FBI NICS Liason and got “your order is Processed by the ATF contact them”
On Monday I emailed Roger Williams (my congressman) and asked him to contact the ATF on my behalf….guess what I got in my inbox this morning at 8:12 AM? Why two approvals from the ATF, coincidence?
Edited to add: Well it was just a coincidence come to find out, I just got a reply from the office of Roger Williams to complete a Privacy Release Form and send it back before they can make an inquiry. Oh well, the timing still seems odd lol

I’m on day 45! Getting real impatient at this point. Bought two cans at Rifle Gear as an individual. I have a trust but figured I’d “join the bandwagon” on the recent speedy turnaround. Guess I’ve been signed out. Zero reason on my end for any delays. I reviewed the forms 3 times over, had a CHL/LTC for over 10 yrs, and held a security license in Texas for over 30 years. My records are squeaky clean.. I contacted them by phone and got a standard reply that both were in a “pending status.”
Probably call again tomorrow. Ugh.

Probably call again tomorrow. Ugh. Only 45 days huh? Relax...most of us on here have waited a year or more for our NFA items in the past. Badgering the NFA branch won't help. Good luck!
