From Duane dated Dec 22, 2019: "I have much to tell you about that piece!!! I made it over 10 years ago. It has coyote brown G10 that we had made according to the Pantone color chosen by the United States Marine Corps Special Operations command Detachment One. It was the first time that anyone had ever made G10 in this color. Also the two dimensional flag is the first millwork program I ever wrote. I am self taught on the mill and wrote out that flag program as my first effort."
"That blade is CPMS30V with a unique single sided ground. The grind on the spine of the blade is called a Trisula and is a live edge used in Kali and Escrima. The pattern on the blade is commercial industrial expanded metal over mill spec black oxide and then blasted with aluminum oxide. The remaining black oxide that you see was shielded by the expanding metal."
