Wife is scheduled for hip replacement surgery Wednesday morning. She’s been dealing with quite a bit of pain since February. She’s ready for it to be over.

Pretty good success rate on new hips. Common where I live. Hope she does great.

She’s feeling much better today, compared to yesterday after surgery. Made a lap around the floor area with walker, sitting in chair. Won’t know til later about discharge today or tomorrow.

Great news! My only advice is to do exactly what the doctor says. I did this after my knee replacements and even though getting up and walking every hour was a pain in the butt, I did it and then when the PT person comes and gives you exercises to do 3-4 times a day, do it. She will be great then.

Go the release for later today. I went over to Academy and picked up some tennis balls for the walker.

Nothing like being at home to help your recovery. Lots of stuff to do being the caregiver.

Glad she has someone to care for her, many don't.

Home health PT had the wife walking around the house with no walker this afternoon, surgery was last Wednesday. I had her go outside for a short walk on the back porch this evening, with walker. A couple steps were involved.

Got the staples removed yesterday, she seems a better. Walking a lot more around the house with no walker, off the hydrocodone as of this morning. Back to PT next Tuesday.
