I'm trying to get a better group at 100/200 yds with my AR 223/5.56 for prairie dog hunting. Would buying a Wylde barrel 18" or a upper 18" make a difference in accuracy

Ok found answer in a later post so I'm going with a barrel exchange Thanks

My old ARP 20in 5R 223 Wylde is my past 300 yard rifle for prairie dogs using Federal 50gr jacketed hollow points.

I'd say if you're going to use it for pdogs, go with at least a 20 inch barrel. I myself use 55gr or 53gr Vmax bullets, but in a 26" bolt guns

White Oak Armanent makes a fine 18" .223 Wylde barrel.

I ordered the Wilson super sniper 223 Wylde in 18" FT as I plan on it being my all around varmint rifle. Iwill get it mounted on existing upper from PSA and hope for a good marriage.

I have a Tikka 22-250 with 20" and it is good out to 400yds on PD's but very good around 250yds. The upgrade on AR is due to a good inventory of rounds that need to be used. I'm enjoying the excitement of change lol
