Our House is about finished and looking to get a new pup. My preference is a DD/GWP, but I let this be a vote also with my two boys who will be helping me train. They out voted me on a lab. It’s been about 13 years since I had a lab. If you lab folks could give me some recommendations on breeders I’d greatly appreciate it.

Just a personal preference, Justin Jackson with Tacoma Retrievers. I really like the way he interacts with dogs and an excellent hunt test and trial trainer. I have watch him run some awesome dogs. Not sure if he has any litters available. Really good dude.

He is retired. The drive is there everything is but physically he will cause irreparable damage if I hunt him anymore. He’s been like that going on two years. we moved into an apartment while house was finishing up and will be in our new house in 3 weeks. So, that is prompting me to start looking for a new family member.

Sorry autocorrect. Texoma Retrievers. You could also attend some retriever events and get a real fill for a dog you might be interested.

WR Dixieland labradors/ Drake Sporting dogs

Kim Warren, and Justin Drake have combined their breeding, and training program in Dripping Springs.
Long way of saying they got married.

There are a lot of puppies out there right now out of some awesome

Orie Matthews at Wolf Creek Retrievers in Caddo Mills has some puppies out of his HRCH female Piper and FC Vader . Has 9 black pups. Both male and female. They are 2-3 weeks old.

Charlie Green with Green Retrievers in the Longview area just breed his female to Ice out of Arkansas. Ice is a 7XGRHRCH , SRS champion and MH. Should have yellows and black. Just breed 2 weeks ago.

Randy McBryer has some out at Little River Kennels down by Tyler as well.

Justin Jackson is a great guy as well and has some good dogs.

All of these guys run the HRC and AKC hunt tests. If they don’t have one they can help find what you are looking for.

There are lots of good ones out there.

I bought a pup last year from L&M Waggoner Retrievers. Small breeder in Troup. I believe they recently bred the dam I got my pup from. Wonderful people who just try to breed for hunting and hunt tests. I’ve been very happy with my pup

Trailside Ranch in Brock. No pups on the ground just yet, but in the works. Just bred one of my yellow females to my Black male this week. Guess you got one by now; keep us in mind for the future. Will be hitting the hunt tests this Fall. My late brother was the Senior/Masters trainer. I just work the Junior titles because I’m not confident of my timing with the collar when training. We try to produce the American Field Style with a hint of the English style for looks and endurance.
