Thought it would be a cool to see what everyone shoots broadhead wise, and animals they have harvested with them. I have been a huge fan of the G5 MegaMeat, they have always done their job.

I prefer fixed blades. G5 montecs. Been a while since I've killed anything with my bow, but one of the coolest was walking up on a sounder feeding in the bottoms. They were making so much noise that they didn't hear me. I shot the closest one to me. It didn't make a sound, and died within 5 feet. The second squealed and ran about 20 yards before dying. Now they were on alert. I picked up the arrow that killed the first pig, and shot a third. Now they knew something was up but didn't know where the danger was. The fourth victim spotted me, and hesitated, allowing me to take the shot with the same arrow that killed the first pig. She ran off with my arrow stuck in her shoulder.

I prefer a mechanical with a compound and rotate between a wasp jackhammer, a grim reaper and a rage 3-blade.

On elk size game I stick to the reapers, and on really big animals I’ll use a fixed blade Kudu or cutthroat single bevel.

I prefer a 3 blade mechanical for the destruction it does.

On a trad bow I’ll use a magnus stinger, snuffer or a 4 blade wasp sharpshooter. [Linked Image]

Old school Muzzy. I did a lot of product testing on hogs that were already dead and the trocar points don’t cut on initial impact and push in the skin. The larger surface area of the pushed in skin touches the blades and makes a very large hole. A larger skin hole makes for a better blood trail.

I have had some outsized entrance holes using Muzzy broadheads, thanks for the explanation.

Slicktrick 125 grain fixed blade. They fly like practice tips and punch like bullets.

Slicktrick is a great fixed head.

For a compound bow those are my choice if I can’t shoot mechanical

Exodus is another good one for a fast bow. I would rather shoot a mech though. I think I am gonna try the Thorn this year.
