Anybody else love an ice cold Chalada after yard work? Can only do 1 or 2 before switching to regular beer, but boy do they go down easy on hot day after mowing and yard work. My favorite so far is SOL brand.

The answer is yes. Looks great.

To be politically correct. I don’t consider that a chelada. Looks like a michelada.

Chelada generally only has lime and salt. Heavy lime incorporated into the cerveza, heavy salt on rim.

It's medicine in the heat.

A DIY way is Zing Zang Bloody Mary mix poured into your favorite beer. Chug 1/3 of the beer, then refill with the mix.

That sounds good! I love bloody Mary’s but quit drinking liquor. Actually June 20th will be one year no liquor.

I’ll give it a try for sure.

worked for a co. building homes in some of the swanky s.a. hoods, dominion, fair oaks etc.

the guy that owned the co. would bring a couple of coolers of iced beer on fri. with checks, there was always v8/tabasco for red beer. good stuff on a hot day.

Many, many years ago red beer ( tomato juice and beer) was very popular. Still like them today but as Kyle pointed out, 1-2 is enough, they get heavy after that.

I’m not really a fan of the modelo ones. Actually the SOL is the only one I’ve really liked so far.

Unfortunately, the Bud Lite ones are my favorite. But after the stunt they pulled last year, I started making my own. A bunch if firemen were building a steel structure last August (brilliant idea!) And we all liked the homemade Cheladas, with the Zing Zang mix.

Spend 8 hours welding, and the last two were 105°, and two Cheladas will make you feel better.
