I know this is a shot in the dark, Does anyone have land they would lease out between bulverde and blanco texas. or a dog club in the general area. Looking for a place i can shoot a cap gun to start acclimating my dog to gun fire, as well as other training needs that a little land would help with! not looking for a hand out, would be happy to pay for something! thanks yall.

You would have better luck checking onX maps and knocking on doors and explain what you want to do.

Have you checked in with the German Shorthair Club of San Antonio? They own property.
There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

You are smart man starting out with a cap gun. Dog gets used to smelling gun powder as well and associating with retrieving. In regard to land to train on, you should be able to find somewhere to train your dog in that area. I live in Dallas, and I got many places to train around my house. Commercial office building/factory campuses, schools, parks, churches...You got Canyon lake close to you. I was in an HRC, with training land 20 minutes away. But always found other places around my house to train that is much more convenient. Also paint that cap gun red so no one things its real.
