At Lake Fork. Ran 10 of them with my old Water Safari Racer. Out at sunset and pulled them out at midnight. The lights on them made it really fun. I could see fish on from far away and of course easy to pick back up in the dark.

Very nice! I usually go catfishing from the bank on Memorial Day weekend so I dont have to get on the lake with all the idiots. Got up Sunday morning to do just that and the wind and storms kept me at home instead. Hard to keep your cork out of the rocks with a 30+mph wind blowing it right into them.

And the final product. There would have been more fish than I needed so I did let the biggest and smallest channel cats go.

Fresh cut bluegill this time. I caught 5 or 6 big ones off their beds just before dark which provided enough to bait about 30 hooks.

I'm picky and the turtles at the cleaning table love me. I trim the overly yellow fatty meat off the edges. The bigger fish I split the fillet by cutting out the lateral line to remove any red meat. Big fillets I cut down or thin to match the smaller fillets so it all cooks the same.

Do y’all skin your cats or fillet like any other fish? If I let them hang out on ice for a while before cleaning I can usually fillet them like any other, sometimes I get a piece of skin but not often

I fillet them like any other fish with a Bubba cordless electric fillet knife. Using the wide blade I seldom will accidently cut through the skin. If I do, it is usually because the fish moved on me. If I do have a piece of skin left, I just pull it off with some fish skinning pliers while I am trimming the fillets with the fixed blade knife. At Fork, they go straight from the live well barrel to the cleaning table to the freezer or frier. No ice involved. Anywhere else, they go in a cooler with ice until I get home and filleted in my back yard on a board. So, no I don't ice them for the purpose of making it easier to fillet them.

Cats always go on ice first before I try to flillet them. I use an electric fillet knife and without the skin and meat being cold and firm they would get butchered pretty bad. I have also learned that with Cats its easier to control the cut by pulling the fish into the knife by the head rather than pushing the knife into the fillet like with any other fish.

What lights do you use on the jugs? Cool idea

Ebay thing. They look to be 3D printed made made to be glued on the pvc pipe and for screwing in a small spice jar or makeup jar onto the top. An LED light and 2032 battery fits in the jar. The guts look like something normally used for a cheap battery powered Tea Light. Search jugline noodles on ebay and scroll to the ones with lights, or just the lights for building your own.

Do you fix yours where you use the same length line and a single hook? I always used multiple clip- on hooks with longer line depending on the depth of water.

I mostly used lines from older juglines and lines cut from a couple old store bought trotlines I had. After a lifetime of running juglines, the lines on my now refurbished noodles are quite a mix, but all of this set with the lights is about 20 ft long and most with three hooks. Most of my other old ones I attached the swivels using a cats paw knot. Some have three way swivels. Most of these lighted ones I made from trotlines. There are crimps just above and below each swivel on a typical store bought trotline. I measured and cut a 20 ft section of trotline and using lineman's pliers cut off all but the bottom three swivels. When fishing with the noodles I roll out line until I hit bottom, then slip a couple half hitches around the pvc. I can adjust them anywhere from 5 ft using only the bottom hook up to the full length that way. The hooks are on short leader loops and I just hook them into the foam when I roll the lines back up.
