Made a rustic sigh for the creek on our place. A piece of junk pallet wood and a cedar tree for a post.
Yes "Sulphur" is spelled correctly per Google maps.

I make signs too. They are all over the woods roads. I had fun with it, but family spats arose. “Why do I get a muddy road named for me when ‘Susie’ gets a whole meadow? Geez! I guess I shouldn’t have named things after people.

So did you do that with a wood burner and then white it in somehow? The War Department has been saying we need signs on the ranch so she knows where she is. I'm fighting it. She has, however, been driving around lately, by herself, and slowly, actually learning the place. One blind is named after grandson/grandchild #1, no other grandchild names on the place, even though we have 6. Of course, "Grammy" always wants to know how to find it.

I am a fan of these however and have put one on every piece of land I've hunted since I was young. It's..."in the road." grin

No wood burner. I used a handheld router aka laminate trimmer with a round nose bit to route out the name.
Wife is the artist in the family and she drew the letters and jagged ends with chalk and I followed with the router. Jagged ends were cut on the band saw.

What does the fork mean. Best I can do is rock fork. confused2

I thought it was a "forkin pile of rocks".

I showed the wife the fork in da road and she laughed till she cried. That is SO much better than anything I have ever done for a sign.

Nah, maybe eBay, if it wasn't before eBay existed. Lots of folks had a huge fork and spoon hanging by their dining area as "art"/decor, including my ex-inlaws.
