Mavericks and Stars are waiting for their competition. Nuggets & Oilers?

Probably the Oilers. But, Vancouver gets game 7 at home tomorrow….Best thing is that the Stars get some days off. WCF won’t start until Thursday.

I think whoever the Stars play, the are deeper and have the better goaltender. Edmonton has McDavid and Draisaital…but the Stars neutralized McKinnon and Makar in the last series.

I don’t ever remember the Stars having a tougher 3 series to just get to the finals. And, if they do, it’ll be tougher still. But, it’s fun to watch.

Otter is really settling into a groove. That bodes very very well regardless of the Canucks or Oilers showing up.

I think I’d rather see them play a crippled Vancouver than that Oiler offense

Mavericks versus Timberwolves. Thought it was going to be the Nuggets.

Mavs open up as an underdog to Minnesota. I watched the game last night and I am biased, but I don't think Minnesota has enough firepower over a 7-game series to beat Dallas. Ant is incredible, KAT and Conley are good offensively, and Gobert is the DPOY, but I think Dallas will win.

Games are interleaving this round instead of on top of each other. Could turn into 14 straight days of Dallas playoffs.

Oilers will make it a good series. But they are not as deep as Dallas. Picking Stars in 6.

Mavs take Game 1 on the road

Totally - well mostly unrelated but kind of relevant as it kind of pertains to the Oilers. In 1979 when the Great One made his NHL debut that was the last year i collected hockey cards as a young teenager. My grandfather owned a deli and at the time and in Canada even delis sold hockey cards at that point in history. Well end of the season every year he would give me all his unsold stock. I ended up with 4 Opee Chee Gretzky Rookie cards. Now i was a teenager then and not blessed with tons of fore thought at that time but even at that age i knew Gretzky was something special. Those four cards are still in safe climate controlled storage in my gun safe.

Hirogen, have you had them rated? If one of them is a ten you're an instant millionaire.

Here lies the problem. There are no good/reliable/reputable rating agencies in Canada. I would have to ship them to the States. Scared to do that. I know they are certainly worth something be it 5k or a million. I don't need the money so might just leave it to my kids to figure out.

Understandable but if I had 4 of them I'd make a call and an appointment to do it in person. I'm sure they would make the time for that one of a kind rating.

That is a reasonable approach. I should probs research where the closest reputable agency is across the line and drive with the cards in possession to that location. Make a holiday out of it. New York City is only 10 or 12 hours and surely there is someplace in the Big Apple.

Great game by the Mav's last night. They were pretty much trailing the whole game, as soon as they got close they would turn the ball over and fall behind again. But end of the 4th quarter they poured it on.

Kyrie said he took it a bit personal that Anthony Edwards proclaimed that he was going to guard him. He went off in the 1st half to keep the Mavs close and then Luka finished them off in the 4th.
