In all seriousness, I think the message was don’t be scared to put motherhood over career ambitions. world needs great mothers more now then ever, and in doing so requires men to be great providers.

It's crazy that this guy is getting roasted but it's a perfect example of the lunacy of the left. All he said is that most women in the crowd would find more fulfillment being a wife and mother than a career women - a statement that needs to be said because we are shortly approaching 50% of women being unmarried after the age of 30. Our society has praised the feminist career woman and has worked to destroy the traditional family. There's absolutely nothing wrong with a woman working and enjoying her job but the most fulfilling thing for any of us is typically our family lives. I'm 32 and know so many women that were sold a bogus bill of goods and are now scrambling to lock down a husband and have some kids before it's too late

The country was in much better shape when men were the ones going off to work and war. Crime was less, divorce was less, abortion was less, less obesity...it's a statistical fact.

Can't imagine how the darling daughters would've turned out without Wifeypoo quitting her managerial role in a corporate accounting gig to come home. In addition, she was able to "finish off" my maturation. One of our greatest successes and pretty sure she will agree.

Later edit - there are too many who want want each person in a marital union to work. Easier for control and affords more opportunity for the village to raise a child.

I have a very good friend thats been extremely successful in the restaurant business. He worked very hard and long hours and I asked him once what his wife thought about that. He said his wifes life long goal was to raise a family. His goal was to provide a very good living to support her and their family. She didnt work but raised(he helped of course) a beautiful family while he worked a lot and provided well. They are both very happy with how it turned out, as are their kids and grandkids.
Nothing wrong with a woman working but its not what everyone wants or needs.

I think there are some responses on here that aggravate as much as help, and comments that the world was better when men went off to war and work are part of the problem. As BOBO stated, if his wife was the breadmaker, he would have no problem doing stuff for her…thats the point.

There should be someone around to be a homemaker when kids are involved, male or female doesn’t matter as much as someone that is there for the kids. That is a personal feeling, but one i think a lot of people would agree with. The decay of the family and the number of kids that come home to empty homes or are raised by someone who doesnt “love them as much as a close relative” are causing serious social issues in this country and the world at large. I am happy my wife was able to stay home for the most part, but when she needed to go to work for a bit i was more than happy to put aside my personal needs and take care of the kids while she worked. It is a choice that is made, and it isnt a bad choice to stay home and be a homemaker.

I can see when kids are not involved this discussion is very different.

Need to say that again so that hard heads can hear you.

The problem isn’t whether anyone agrees or disagrees with his ideas, it’s the fact people lose their effing minds just because someone has different world view.

He was speaking at a small catholic school and the speech was approved beforehand.

Reports are that the attendees gave a standing ovation, but again that’s not my point. My point is that there are people who wake up everyday looking to be offended and outraged. Why they care about a NFL kicker’s speech to people who have nothing to with them is beyond me.
