Derek, I need to mix Celsius wg with atrazine to kill some weeds in the lawn. Have used this before but don't remember the correct mix. Would appreciate your help and will use with a surfactant.

What are the weeds that you're targeting?

Most look verry much like clover.

2.4 grams of Celsius. If you're using the 4% atrazine go with 8oz. No surfactant. Be careful with the atrazine. Temps are climbing and it needs to be applied when it's below 90 degrees.

I just sprayed my Bermuda grass first thing this morning with straight Celsius -- half a 94-grain packet, or 47 grains in a gallon sprayer (weighed it on my RCBS powder scale). Looking to control "clover" (actually yellow woodsorrel), spurge and the dang khaki weed. Was talking to a native of this part of Texas and he said there simply was no khaki weed here forty years ago.

I'm not a big fan of spot spraying with higher end chems. You didn't mix too spicy but a lot of people will give the weed(s) a 5 second soak and put a high concentration of chem in one spot which can do more damage than got. Just a light mist. I get it though. Not everyone wants to buy and mess with a backpack sprayer. If you didn't next time add a non-ionic surfactant to it.

I believe most of the weeds you mentioned are listed on the Celsius label. Though Celsius really isn't that heavy of a hitter on those. Can be kinda slow. Give it a week or two to see results. MSM(Not MSMA) would have been a better option. No biggie you can always reapply if need be. MSM is not something to fool around with. If you want to go down that road let me know and I can expand on it.

Thanks Derek, I broadcast sprayed with fine mist. Took a bit, but the gallon just covered my front yard. I had seen conflicting advise about surfactants/a squirt of Dawn, etc., with Celsius but didn't use any. Hope I get good control.

Give it a week or so and see how it looks. This is from Texas A&M for khaki weed Research has also shown that sequential applications of metsulfuron, approximately 4 weeks apart, can provide the most consistent season-long control.

Found that citation. The darn weed is from south of the border. I even found a paper on this invasive in Australia, probably introduced from South Africa during the Boer War! It is a well-traveled nuisance.

Well I good pretty good control over the khaki weed and the yellow woodsorrel, but very little over this one, which I figured might be a spurge.
