Bud Light sales still falling as Modelo, Coors fight to keep their gainsRevenue for Anheuser-Busch jumped 2.6% to $14.55 billion from higher prices, but volume sold dropped 0.6%, though it was less than Wall Street anticipated. The largest decline came from North America, where volume dropped 9.9%, largely due to sales of Bud Light. Sales to retailers and wholesalers were down 13.7% and 10.7%, respectively, in the US. "We've lost a whole generation of hardcore Bud Light shoppers," Bump Williams of Bump Williams Consulting told Yahoo Finance. "It's going to take us at least 10 years to try and recapture what we lost in one year."
Williams said AB InBev will have to "buy" shoppers. As Gen Zs grow up and turn 21, they'll turn to brands that made an impression on them in their younger years. Over the last four-week period, Bud Light sales are still down 27.1% from a year ago, whereas Miller Lite is up 7.8% and Coors Light grew 15.3%, according to data from Bump Williams Consulting. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/bud-...d3%2FseRBdGWGGDD&bt_ts=1715335294114

The effects of stupid, woke, "DEI" initiatives will hit the bottom line of lots of large companies for a long time yet.

Always thought the whole thing was a bit silly. Companies are not your friends. They will do anything and everything to increase their bottom line. Bud Light didn't use a trans model as a spokesperson because they are trans-friendly, they did it because they felt it was an untapped market, plain and simple. Busch Light puts camo on their cans because they are hunters? That's a marketing ploy by an analyst in New York who has never set foot in the woods. Brands and companies are not your friend anymore than your waitress at Hooters. They want your money. Heck Meateater and FirstLite are owned by an anti-gun activist. It's all about money.
That being said, I always was more of a fan of yellow bellies.

I get it, I'm just saying it's not as black and white as people think. For example, in the pic shared above, the gentleman has a sixer of Labatt Blue (a tasty brew). Labatt is a AB InBev brand just like Bud Light. Stone Brewing (Arrogant Bastard Ale), is owned by Sapporo, so it's not an American company. The primary owner of Pabst (who owns LoneStar), Eugene Kashper, made most of his money in the Russian beer industry (and is Russian by birth). My point is, we're all supporting the things we don't agree with whether we like it or not.

Shiner is a good answer. Family owned and San Antonio based. I kinda got tired of Shiner Bock, but Shiner Orale, Premium, 109 are all good flavors. And their IPA series is pretty damn good too.

Shiner Premium is an under-appreciated beer. Truth! Can't find it up here though. Lucky to find Shiner Bock. Moosehead is a good beer.

Shiner Premium is an under-appreciated beer. I wish I could find 12 pack bottles of it here. Occasionally I do, but it's rare.

^^I know a few on here that would like the red one. You thinking about Sneaky? He's actually quite humble when you meet him. No, I was thinking more about some of the master hunters and "ranchers" on here.
