My buddy and I finally got out to do some turkey hunting. Put three to bed last evening. This morning we had a half dozen or so owls harassing the three birds on roost off to my right about 100 yards or so. I've never heard or seen so many owls congregate together. They made it easy to setup by keeping them gobbling. I had a fourth bird I was working off to my left. That bird flew down and making his way towards me when I caught heads moving through the tall grass. My buddy shot and one of his birds came running my way. He stopped at my decoy. I christened my new .410 Rossi Turkey Tuff with a 15 yard head shot w/ Fed 7.5 TSS shot. He dropped like a rock and never flapped, until I rolled him over a few minutes later. Checked my watch, it was just 6:30 AM.

We breasted out both our birds, not one pellet in the breast. What a great morning to be out! My buddies had a 9.5" thick beard, mine was a thinner 9" beard.
