Every year I get 15-25 tags on my family property just south of Winnie Texas. Season is September 10-30 and we usually set lines one evening and check them the following morning. Each year I kill 3-5 that are 10'+ with another 5-7 that are 9'+, with numerous 6-8 footers. I'm looking to trade for a mule deer or pronghorn hunt. Added bonus if it is in Texas and additional if it's possible for me to do with my bow. I've already killed several big Texas whitetail with a bow and this past year a big Texas free range elk with a bow. I would also entertain a big whitetail hunt but it would have to be archery equipment. Can add several gators for the right deal.

Can you shoot a gator on private that has not been caught on a line? Can't recall the law on that?

Not in a Core County, which this one is unfortunately. Would also be willing to trade a gator for a Krivoman style bow blind.

I'm working on setting up a pronghorn spot in NM. If I get it set up in time we may be able to work something out for this season. I'll let keep you posted.

Going to bump this back up to the top. I went 2 years ago mule deer hunting with one of the members on here that responded to this. We didn't find the mule deer I was looking for but still had a great time. He came down with his kids and we got a mess of gators and made some lifelong friends outta it. Unfortunately, he lost his mule deer property so I'm looking for another opportunity.

I'd be interested in mule deer, pronghorn, whitetail bucks or axis bucks. I'd prefer to do it with my bow but it is not a deal breaker. Let me know what you might have.

Just under 2 months until gator season starts down here! Let me know if you want to swap hunts. Was crabbing down there this past Friday and counted 47 gators in 2 hours.

Was out pulling crab traps yesterday and saw two that were pushing 10 foot.

Mickey is a great dude. Still stay in touch w him over the years. We had a great time hunting gators w him. We did it for our kids. The kids still talk about it. Really good time.

I'll keep an eye on my trail camera. I have a muley that's started hitting my cotton seed but he hasn't been extremely consistent. Let's see how things go leading up to the season.
