Would like to get a non-threaded bolt gun of mine threaded.
Is there anyone Yall recommend “Trust” that can do it possibly without taking it off the action?
I’m in Paris, don’t mind making a trip to DFFW if need be.
Thanks in advance.

You probably won't get anyone recommending class3 machining in Rowlett.

That was sarcasm. Every time this question comes up, about a dozen people recommend class 3. He did 2 rifles for me, and I would recommend as well. Probably a poor choice of timing on my part as to when I should have made a sarcastic joke. My apologies Morgan.

Yep.

Did a ruger 10/22 and a rem bolt action for me... quick turn around, good price, and perfect work... I'll definitely use Class 3 again...

Yup - Morgan at Class 3 Machine. He's done 3 rifles for me.

He works by mail. You will have to remove the barrel and send to him. For all mine he had minimal lead times and got them back to me within a week.

I had 2 rifles done by him about 9 months ago, one threading only and one cut plus threading. Both work great. Had a Tikka 308 chopped to 16" and threaded for suppressor. I just started hunting with it. It shot easily less than 1" for a 3-shot group. he other rifle was also a Tikka, a 223 varmint. Shot hundreds of hand loaded 223 rounds. There was a little point of impact shift because it received a muzzle brake. But there was not loss or gain in accuracy. shot equally well before and after.

In case anyone wonder, no a 223 varmint bolt gun does not need a muzzle brake. But my last gunsmith gave me a really nice one I stuck it on. man it shoots so soft and sweet with the ability to touch something at 3-500yards with precision.

I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

I use a guy in Wylie by the name of Scott; I can't recall his business name off the top of my head but he's always done top notch work at a fair price. He chopped down my Tikka before last hunting season. I can send you his number if you are still looking.
