I knew Kentucky was disgruntled, but I didn’t see this one coming. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2024/04/full-43954-417734-img_0749.png)

Not sure if he'll last long. Our fan base is too toxic. I see both sides of things but in my opinion letting Muss walk was a mistake.

Wow! But not really shocked. As one of the winningest programs in history, UK simply won't put up with early outs from the NCAA tournament.

Recruiting one and done has not helped him.

He wasn't taking a job in Arkansas, he was running away from a job in Kentucky.

They will be screaming for his head if they don’t come out the gate winning. Considering coaches set their own non-conference schedule, they almost certainly will start off strong. Just like Chris Beard at Ole Miss started13-0 playing a bunch of subpar teams (except NC State).

He wasn't taking a job in Arkansas, he was running away from a job in Kentucky. Massive down grade job. He’s probably had more one and out players than all the rest of the UK coaches combined. Hard to build a long term successful program like that.

Kentucky Fans are rejoicing, but UK is not the bright shining star anymore. Whoever takes the job has to embrace a new way of recruiting and retaining recruits/transfers. Calipari did not do that.
Kentucky may have 8 National Championships, but they only have 1 in the last 25 years. They need a coach that can recruit the portal and retain older players. The days of only recruiting freshmen phenoms is done. The successful post-season teams all have multiple upperclassmen leading the charge.
