I listen to this at least once a month. There was another thread here about great performances but I am hoping many others will listen to this and help them through the trials of life.

When other awesome performers are crying and giving standing ovations you know it is as good as it gets. Hope you enjoy

That was good. I liked it.

However, what the narcissists in the audience think of it means nothing to me. I don’t need their approval to know what I think of a song or performance.

One of my favorite songs, made all the better by the stellar performance.

tlk, had to listen to it twice. Love it. She can sing when she’s not screaming like she normally does in her songs. This is good stuff. I can’t listen to her normally though.

Thanks for posting this. She is amazing. And as an added side benefit Youtube then suggests other stuff - which i usually ignore. Tonight not the case started with your post and then been down the Elvis rabbit hole for 2 hours now. Sipping whiskey and listening to Elvis mid-week = a great night.

Heavenly can also be seen in what God-given hands and talent can do with a musical instrument. And when you get the chance to see such a performance in person, it becomes one of those things you can always remember where you were when you watched it. I have no doubts King David, who loved music and musical instruments, would have loved watching such a performance too.

Yep, outstanding and without the aid of any musical instrument. Pure acapella.

I saw Roger Waters in 87 just after he broke up with Pink Floyd at Reunion Arena, It wasn't very crowded and they moved the entire upper level down to lower level, I wasn't much of a fan of Pink Floyd but the guy put on a great concert, He did almost every song off the "The Wall" and he had the pig flying inside, along with the Nazi Soldiers, it was pretty awesome concert. I did like Pink Floyd after that.

I saw Robert Plant a handful of times once he started doing Zep song, he was pretty strong in concert.

In the 1980's I saw Hank Williams Jr at Six Flags in Arlington, he kicked the whole band off stage and did the concert by himself, very good.

I have seen AC/DC for the Who Made Who Tour in 87 and I saw them last time they came to Dallas in 2018 and they are still great.

I saw the Rolling Stones in the mid 90's and they put on a amazing show.

I saw Brookes and Dunn one year and they rocked.

Worst concert was Metallica/Gun Roses at Texas Stadium in Irving, Guns N Roses singer was like an hour late, would sing for 2 minutes and leave, I was done with them. I do remember Metallica being pretty good.

I saw Ozzy Osbourne in Fort worth in 87 It was the "Shot in the Dark Tour" he was pretty good, first time I had seen him live.

Somebody told me that this was a great vocal performance long ago. Like everybody else I knew Janis Joplin smashed this song, so when I heard that there may just be a better performance I had to hear it. I think it is.

Def Leppard did a fantastic job but there is no way any band in history could have followed that.

He's incredibly talented, and a Martin guitar lover like no other.

I could not agree more. That performance was the very best I've ever heard or seen of any genre, and it isn't even close. I enjoyed it very much, thanks for the post.

Unfortunately, traditional hymns have been replaced in many churches with what I've heard called "Seven Eleven Music" projected on large screens. That is, seven words or lines sung eleven times.
