Got an accuracy question..... trying to work up a good load for my .308. Loaded 12, 3 shot strings, varying powder and length. Had some really good results, but 2 stood out among the others. Both groups were inside 3/4 of an inch, but 1 was closest to my point of aim. My question is which one do I use? Does being closest to P.O.A really make a difference?

If I am understand your post right, use the more accurate of the loads and simply make the proper adjustments your scope to achieve the desired point of impact. YES POA makes a difference.

being close to your poa on the range is irrelevant.

You can adjust your scope to get the group where you want it to be. Pick the load which gives you the best groups and then adjust your poa accordingly.

POA means nothing if your rifle is not sighted in for that particular load. If I sight my .22 in for shorts and then throw a few LR's out the tube, they will have a different POI. Concentrate on group size then adjust your scope once you find a load your rifle is hungry for...
