After my wife had her internal surgery last week, they wanted her to drink coffee or ice tea. The caffeine gets your organs working to aid healing. I had no idea!

It's healthier to simply drink a lot of water each day.

So to that effect, I drink filtered water.

Preferably hot water filtered through coffee grounds.

On a good day I’ll drink 60 ounces of black coffee. On a rough day, 100 ounces isn’t uncommon.

Lot of people on this forum had nothing but bad things to say about Harvard and other institutions during the early phases of the Covid vaccine and now this news on coffee is completely acceptable? For the record, I drink 30 oz of coffee per day. Just saying.

There are many other studies other than harvard. Really I made this post having small talk in the coffee room, a coworker told me about it. It took me by surprise, so I googled it when I got to my desk, and it was the first article that top of the google search. I haven't even read the article.

I like DW coffee, but I don’t drink dark roasts because it has less caffeine than medium or light roasts. They used to have a breakfast blend light roast that would make my heart flutter after just 2 cups.

I have been a coffee achiever since the late 70's.

Smells good but tastes like sour [censored], hard pass for me…

Yeah, I’ve never understood the addiction to something that tastes so bad.

30 ounces of hot-n-black in the morning.
Then 1 to 2 gallons of water the rest of the day.

For folks who have hypervigilance from their experiences the caffeine can make things worse.

I’ve never made a pot of coffee in my life, even in the military, still don’t know how. Mostly worked nights and the Day shift would be pizzed at me when I didn’t have it ready for them. Only started drinking instant or from a restaurant the last 20 years or so. My wife must have half a dozen different coffee makers on the counter.
