Try and find the model number. It makes a difference whether it's worth $1K or $4K.

Try and find the model number. It makes a difference whether it's worth $1K or $4K. I tried that but failed. It appears to be a 1895SS when zooming into the barrel pic. Not 100% as it’s blurry at that scale. Nice rifle.

The rifle is marked 1895SS and has the cross bolt safety.

Those are always nice lever guns! If it has the cross-bolt safety, then it has to be 1984 or newer....
