Had some nice aged shine sitting around so I made some sippin' cream for my coffee.
Simple recipe and it's nice. More of a bourbon nose and flavor than sweet.

1 cup 104 proof liquor
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 table spoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon or so of Almond extract
3 tablespoons honey

Want it stronger add about 1/2 more liquor

Just blend gently and put in frig for the night. It's better after sitting overnight and chilling.

Some folks add coffee flavor for just sippin'.

Might try some chocolate flavor next.

Forgot to mention, it was -2 when we got up this morning with about 2 inches of fresh snow.
Coffee needed a little more octane this morning.

Christmas party time so I made another batch of bourbon cream and some cherry bounce to take this Sunday.
Made a small batch of the cherry bounce since it was my 1st try. I'll make more next time.

I have a 3 lb bucket of pitted, tart Montmorency cherries so I filled a big mason jar half full of them, covered those with sugar then poured some nice private bourbon over all of it.
Put it in a dark cool room since July.
Strained it yesterday and put it in the frig.
Spouse seems to really like it.
Pretty tart, I need more sugar next time or I'll go with honey.

Saved the cherries to cover them with chocolate and take to the party with more chocolate covered dried fruit.

Excellent decision. I enjoy dessert coffee in the winter, so make my own Kahlua. Really saves a lot of money over the name brand also!!

Beer and whiskey, 'cause you can't drink bacon!!

I ended up adding about a shot of simple syrup to the cherry bounce, smoothed out the tartness without taking away the little bite it has.
Tried some milk chocolate on a few cherries and they will be great.

Headed to our friends party today and I decided to take chocolate dipped dried fruit as my pot luck with the sippin cream and cherry bounce.
Dried pears, peaches, apricots, strawberries and bourbon cherries for the adults.

I swear Wytex, having you over for a pot luck would be like winning the lottery.

Had a great time in Centennial. Wasn't looking much like Christmas season with no snow but the mountains were socked in as we started towards the party and thankfully we got a nice dusting for the get together.
Was hoping a moose would stroll through the yard but not this year.
