I was at the weigh in yesterday. 660 teams competed which was up from 521 last month. I was surprised that the storm that moved through Saturday night didn't shut down most of the hunters. As it turns out, some were not affected as much as others though all had to battle the wind.
The team with the most fox, 38 were using the Freq as well as the team with the heaviest female bobcat.
We shot video of the event which will be aired on CARNIVORE next season. Thanks to Jeremy Harrison and his crew for putting on a great hunt!

I've always wanted a bobcat mount but I haven't been able to bring myself to kill one. They are just to pretty. I have a client who was born in 1939 and he told me that he killed a fox in his teens and that it has bothered him every day since. He didn't elaborate as to why it bothered him. I just think about him anytime I have a bobcat in my sights and don't take the shot.

Our heaviest taken is 39 lbs.
Top 10 weights look pretty average to me.
Ours just don't have the spots you all's do, we do have you beat on fur quality.

Look at the info from past contests and you will see that the weights are pretty comparable with weights of cats in the past that won or placed.

We will air it on the Pursuit Channel during the 3rd and 4th quarters. I am airing in Canada in the 1st and second quarters.
