Do yall remember the kid who made a ton of money off them by 3D printing a bunch of pistols and they had to honor the deal? I want to say he made a 100 of them, made $10k… I got a kick out of that.. Edit: it was in NY and he made $21,000 in $500 gift cards…lol

Never understood the point of these. They think they are getting guns off the streets that could be used in crimes. it's to make suburban housewives and college kids feel better

I have 2 crappy single shot shotguns that don’t shoot I’m debating on turning in. Says they are giving $100 for handguns and $125 long guns. What does everyone think? While I am opposed to these in principle, I have two crappy, rusted out, inoperative single-shot shotguns that I'd gladly hand over for $125 each

So, turn in a non-working POS, get $100, add another $100 and buy a working POS to kill people with.

I wonder if they check to see if the gun is stolen when turned in, and if it is stolen and there is a report, if they give that gun back to whom it was stolen from?

All the stories I've read since people started hitting them with 3D printed stuff said things have moved to a sliding scale (no idea if this one will be). So while the headline may say they are giving $100 for handguns and $125 for long guns, recent ones I've read about said then were giving more like $25 for 3D stuff or some small amount for non-operable stuff or BB guns ... I also want to say people standing in line trying to buy stuff were heavily discouraged by the local police at the event. Like everything else in life, people saw the early loop holes and started gaming the system. Once that happened a couple of times, things got a lot more restrictive.
Thanks, Rich

I wouldn’t sell them nothing. I have the same mentality but my mother-in-law recently gave me an old worthless shotgun. It's taking up room in a gun safe that doesn't have much room to spare. I'd give it to them for $100. I collect old shotguns….Jes sayin 🐍🐍

I heard someone turned in an M1 Garand. That Garand, more than likely, won't see the furnace.

I just figured I have 2 guns that can’t be used for anything might as well get paid. All it does is encourage their stupidity and then they report the "success" which tricks people into believing it works. Don't feed them.
