Hey everyone! I always wanted to get a Swedish Mauser M94. There is one at my local gun shop with exactly the same markings as in this video. It is so sad that an import company tried to make up a model that doesn’t exist! Is it safe to buy? What would be the best price? How do you mean "safe to buy".

You might try just telling us what the markings are.

I did not watch the video, but he is looking at an Interarms G33/50. It is a fantasy rifle Interarms built from imported barreled actions and parts so there are a lot of variations, barrel extensions and such. It was a marketing ploy to compete with the German G33/40 Mountain Carbines that were being imported at the same time. Because of the big Interarms G33/50 stamp below the crest it is worth whatever the value is to him as a shooter or for the sum of parts. I sure would not pay anything near real M94/14 prices. I think he means is it safe to shoot. As long as the headspace checks out, it should be fine. One has to realize real M94s were plentiful and cheap when it was created. Like $25-$30 cheap probably. No different than when the importers were flooded with SKS rifles several years ago and I was buying them for $75 bucks each. A fantasy shortened Paratrooper version was created for the importers for marketing purposes. If your a gun collector and can find an online version of the book Deadly Business : Sam Cummings, Interarms, and the Arms Trade it is a great read. The hardcover has become a collectible in it's own right and too expensive to buy just to read.

They're perfectly safe to shoot and handy little woods carbines, I have an M94 that was sporterized in the 60s when they were first imported that I got on the cheap since it has limited collector value. Do not pay untampered M94 prices for one of these . You can get an M94 rear sight mount from S&K scope mounts to put a scout scope on. With an 18" barrel you're at about 20" 6.5 Grendel velocities.
