Wife tells me she needs to cancel her Sirius xm. She said it’s 24 bucks a month and she never uses it, except for Christmas music.
Any other options out there. I don’t mind 10 bucks a month but 24 is a bit much.

They are easy to bargain with. Just call and say you want to cancel. I pay $240 a year, play the game every year.

The last junk mail solicitation I got was for $5 month after the free trial ran out. I didn’t take it…just don’t use it…. But thought it was a fair price.

Tell them you're cancelling. Take a hard stance, tell them how much you'll pay to stay. They'll come down. My Mom did this and got what she wanted.

I let it lapse. I called them and said I'd renew for $5 a month, for a year, and I want to pay for the whole year right now. They tried to set it up for an automatic renewal at $24 a month again, and I protested that and won that battle as well.

It was on my truck when I bought it in 2018 but I never used it and it went away sometime or another. Then this Dec, my navigation system stopped giving live traffic updates. I posted it here and someone mentioned maybe a subscription had expired. Sure enough, I contacted Sirius and it expired at the 5-year mark. They wanted $6.99 a month just for the nav subscription and I said no. It's been a PIA driving around the metromess without it. Think I'll call back next week and try for a better deal.

As others have said, you should be able to get it for 5 to 7 dollars a month without any real negotiation. That should be there all access plan and also includes Internet listening. A lot of times, you can just go on their website, use the chat feature and you can get it through the chat without any issues. I would never pay more than eight dollars a month per radio for it, because there’s no reason to. I am paying $14.20 a month right now, but that’s for two cars and streaming.

Do a chat with them and get the price lower. I think I paid $74 for a year of Sirius premium that has all the channels. I put the date in my calendar to chat with them. That way I never get the $20 a month charges.

I got tired of calling in every year to go through the stupid negotiation process. Canceled the whole thing and I only missed it for a couple of days. I thought I'd miss it more than I do, but I don't.

I cancelled because of the annual crapola. Three months later they offered $5/month for 24 months. I took it.

I do the annual thing and get it for around $100/yr by threatening to cancel. I only have it because I work a lot in areas with few radio stations and poor cell service. When I am near civilization I would much rather listen to either local radio stations or Apple Music / podcasts. I hardly if ever use Sirius when other options are available.

I let my subscription expire every year, go without it for about a month before they offer me a 1/2 off or better deal to come back. I refuse to haggle with them, and honestly don't miss it too much when it's off.
If you get an HD capable receiver or add-on it can open up quite a few new stations/channels in larger markets for free. Not always an option with new vehicles though.

After talking to the wife, she has Apple CarPlay. Don’t reallly understand why she needs XM. She said she will cancel it, will see what they offer in the future.

I have had SiriusXM since 2011. I have never paid more than $7 per month. I am currently on a $7 per month plan for 24 months for my wife’s vehicle. It also allows free streaming, so that’s what I use on my vehicle. Can’t beat two vehicles for that price, it’s much better music content than anything else you can hear over the air

I call every year (calendar reminder) to haggle for the $72 year deal. ($6 per month) 10 minutes of back & forth but not too painful.

I find Satellite Radio pretty good deal, I like to be able to hit replay and keep on playing the same song a couple of times.

Canceled long ago when I was able to get a good cell connection at the ranch. I use Spotify through my cell phone. More control over what I listen to and free with commercials but I pay premium to go without for 11.00 a month.

I logged in my account, which I have never done before. You gotta chat to cancel. They offered my 5.99 for 12 months. I told them to cancel. It took several minutes to cancel. Kinda frustrating.
I might have done the 5.99 if it wasn’t so complicated to cancel.
So far I have cancelled Sirius xm, peacock, Hulu and ESPN plus. I’m just wasting money.
