This was a long retrieve, I’m zoomed in and you can see her tracts. It was wounded and diving 20 foot before she would get there, I was walking to get my boat and look back and said dead gum she got that bird.

I haven't been out on the water all week after last weekend hunt and the attic blast…I went scouting Saturday and did not find hardly any birds, which was a surprise, I had high hopes...I guess the birds moved on south or maybe flew back north?

Anyways, the spot I hunted Sunday, when I scouted it Saturday, I kick up like 3 groups of wood ducks, a small group of mallards, and some divers, that was the best spot I found all day (I can't cover a lot of water scouting in my momarsh). I was thinking a limit of wood ducks with a greenhead kicker would be great. But what I shot was cool, hadn’t shot any of those ducks all season. I didn’t shooting any ducks till 10am, I was just about to pick up and call it an ender, but as soon as I was about to pick up, the duck gods would send me a duck. The duck gods work in mysterious way….

Now I turn to ski season. banana

We didn't have any pintails until the last three weeks of the season but when they came in, they came in by the hundreds. I saw more pintails in the last three weeks than I had seen the last 4 years!
This is the first year that I haven't seen a ton of widgeon.
