I lost a corded Milwaukee Sawzall and one jack-stand when we moved three years ago.
It's been making me crazy. I could almost rationalize one of the movers stealing the sawzall, but why ONE jack-stand. And I am 99% certain the jack stands would have been in the same black tote of garage tools.

We all need to practice Whoa more.

I left a magnetic light in a transmission tunnel once and got it back 9 months later when I happened to draw the same vehicle for an unrelated repair ... it was on (not lit obviously) and worked fine with a new battery.

Pass the gravy.

I've lost count of the number of times I've done this very thing. This is usually how I end up with extra knives and tools. Buy a replacement and then find the original.

Found the screw driver this morning or rather the cat did. Hear a noise coming from the room I was working in yesterday and found the wife's cat playing with it under the bed. How it got there is another question but that is one I am not going to worry about.

Inside the dash of a Chevy pickup, I found a coffee cup that had been sat there by a worker during the assembly of the truck.

My favorite Brother in Law lost his Bushnell binoculars some years ago. He went right out and bought some Swaros. Then he magically found the Bushnell. If I’d had a BS flag, I’d have waved it.

I very seldom lose a tool. But when I do, it will be a pair of Channelocks.

.
However, when working around the house, I will set a tool down in plain sight and forget I was in that area.only to find it when I walk back in the area I left tge tool.

So. YES!

It was not uncommon for workers to leave items inside doors, etc. to rattle in the 1970's and '80's. In fact, I have heard of notes being left with the noisy items saying "Well, I guess you found me" or something similar.

UAW ...

Pass the gravy.

Well speaking of lost then found, My Grandpa lost his wallet while plowing the 160 acres of the home place. Found it the next spring
when he plowed that field again. But wait , there's more...... this happened twice.
