Looking for suggestions

Probably won’t be shooting much past 100 yards
Don’t care about recording video per say
Obviously want as light as possible
Don’t think I need a lot of zoom
Let’s start with a $2,750 budget….

There are a lot of options that will work for you. With a budget of $2750, you could get something like a Sightmark Wraith Mini thermal or Rix Leap L3 or AGM TS25 and have enough money left over to get a small handheld for spotting as well.

I would take a serious look at this one. You can’t go wrong for the price. I have had one for a year and I know of a couple other people who also have one. It is 500.00 cheaper than what I paid.

I would go with this for scanning (or something like it---thermal for sure) and then shop for a good deal on a weapon sight, thermal if possible. I have reached the conclusion that if you can only afford a thermal monocular or a thermal scope but not both, the thermal scanner is the way to go. A good DNV weapon sight will work fine until you can swing a decent thermal weapon sight.

One last bump. Feel like variable zoom isn’t necessary. Leaning towards lowish powered fix..

Call Outdoor Legacy and pick their brains. Stand up guys who are familiar with everything out on the market right now.

I have the Pulsar Talion that was in that price range and has been great for the 10-12 nights a year I get to use it.

I have on order a AGM TS35-284 and paid about $2050.00 + tax----the reviews for shooting up to 200 yards (and certainly 100 yards are pretty darn good). I can't give a valid review because I personally have not used it, but again reviews on-line are very favorable in the under $3000 price range.

You did mean TS35-384, right? Adder version? I had and used one for a while. Good scope and you got a good price.

The Burris BTS-35 V2 is a pretty good scope in this price range. It comes with a top quality American Defense QD mount and uses common 18650 batteries.
