We call them Black deer around here. This one was a couple blocks away from my house. I’ve seen it several times since last year.

Neat, we have a few of them on the southeast side of Longview in Harrison County. Back before AR's I had a young 8 point at 15 yards at full draw and let it walk. Wishing now I would have taken it as I have only seen black does ever since.

I've seen about 7 or 8 around here. I once read in Texas Parks & Wildlife Magazine that Comal County has more melanistic deer that anywhere is Texas.
Neat animals.
