Friend asked me to load some for him. What's the powder of choice? Looks like Retumbo, N570, or H1000 online reading.

Retumbo would be my choice...H1000 being a close 2nd.

We have had good results with H1000, and great results with N570. I have Retumbo, but have not tried it after the results with 570, very easy load workup.

While its temp sensitive Reloder 33 is top speed getter and accuracy was very good. I settled on N570 for heavies but Retumbo works really well if you drop back to 180’s.

If memory serves, BarneyWho and Judd were working on load development with R-33 in April. Second trip out was in June. Previous alright load was blowing primers in June.
IMR-8133 and H-Retumbo are the only two I have used to load for a 195 gr EOL. Usual velocity is around 3000 fps out of a 26" barrel.

I ended up finding H1000 in stock. Retumbo was limited to 2 pounds per customer so that was a no go. And while I waited on my friend to make up his mind the 195s are out of stock again.

Look at the thread with SCdogmans 28 Nolser and 180gr Bergers with lots of comparison to 195gr Target bullets. He might decide to go that rout or at least another good option.

Glad you found them…it’s feast or famine with these popular Bergers.
