My nephew is getting into duck hunting and I would like to get him some gear/equipment. What suggestions does the forum have?

You could get him all kinds of stuff, what does he have or not have is the question? Does he have a pulsator or mojo?

If we had inventory of what he has, we could for sure tell you what he needs.

Guy thanks for the help. The only thing that I know of is a call. Neither his dad or I duck hunt at the moment.

It may not be the "coolest" gift, but nice hearing protection they'll actually use. I am brand new to duck hunting also and hearing protection was way down on my list of gear. My wife got me some earbuds that enhance regular noise and block out anything over 85 dB. I should've gotten them sooner.

Waders, decoys, decoy bag, blind bag, hunting license, Mojo duck, camo coat.

I'll add a gun and dog to the list also.

You might look for some used stuff. Plenty of people will help out a young new hunter.

Out in your country I’d get him field Decoys. Best budget decoys are at www.divebomb.com they have a lot of gear there as well. I’ve used their decoys and decoy rigs cannot vouch for anything outside of that.

Add a face mask to the list. A new hunter learning to work birds needs to key on the wings but faces flare a lot of birds.
