Spaghetti and meatballs were anwesome, and I tried for big fluffy breadsticks in the little RV oven. Total fail on the bread, but the rest was amazing!! I think my yeast was old and overpowered by the heat!

This year I sold my big 2 story house on 5 acres with lots of extras and am now living full time in my RV. RV cooking is different for sure, but I'm ok with it. I'm not liking the bottom only heat source when I try to cook certain things in the little oven, but will make the best of it. There is always outside cooking.....especially with cast iron.

It's actually fun attacking menus and obstacles. The tiny oven and bottom fire is an issue. Also about 55 degrees off indicated on the dial. 3 little burners just means proper timing and order on the meals, to finish at the right times. Kinda like cooking in the yard on fire!!

About twelve years ago when we built our house on some acreage I had built a shop with tiny semi-living quarters, with just full bath, laundry, and no cooking. Our son was still home and we needed to cook.

I bought a like new barely used FEMA trailer that we put four feet from the shop. Some genius engineer thought it was a good idea to put a smoke alarm directly over the cook top in the trailer. My son and I hung out in the shop while my wife cooked. She said we knew supper was ready when the smoke alarm went off.

If you don't have one, you need a good dutch oven with a lid for coals. I'd bet you both already have one though.

I have so many different things from cast iron that Sweet Tooth has started calling it pig iron. Whenever I break out one, we eat like pigs!!!

Man that looks great! Is that cheese in the meatballs?
Dang, this gives me the idea to make Spaghetti and meatballs with jalapeno-cheddar meatballs!
