Thought I would share, I purchased this in an old beat up antique store near Townsend Tennessee around 2004. The elder lady there says it was made from a bear. The hide still has bear fur on it. You can see where the bone chipped away and looks like melted metal was filled in. Other than that, no telling how old it was or who made it, it just sits in the safe, too scared to use it.
