I’ve used USAA for more than 20 years, my insurance has went up 70% over the last two years and I’ve never made a claim.

Let me know who you use or would suggest?

State Farm has been by far the cheapest for me on my car this last year. I would also look at Texas Farm Bureau and Germania.

You're not paying for YOUR good driving record and no claims. You're paying for all the bad drivers, uninsured, underinsured idiots that live in your area. Good Luck!

Homeowner and auto coverage is going up everywhere. Some companies are dropping customers if they are in a high risk area

Yes !! I think we have to shop every year and switch every year. It's a pain but might be the future of all insurance.

I have been with State Farm over 30 years. Home, auto, RV and two vehicles. I am getting copies of the policies next week and sending them to USAA for a comparison next week.

We will see.

If you have a few vehicles have them listed like you rarely drive them, you will get lower rates. They have a name for that like casual only driving, and not for work etc.

Same here and it's gotten me nowhere. My premium has gone from $2300 to $5400 in three years just for the cars.

Pass the gravy.

I've had better luck using an independent broker who does the leg work for me.

Companies now penalizing through costs for this behavior. Don’t necessarily agree with it, just saying they are tracking it. Also tracking prior insurance limits.

40 years and never seen anything like what is going on. Pointed out what was occurring the spring and some rocket surgeon on here referred to me as being an industry fear monger. It’s only gotten worse since then and, for whatever reasons, it the worst for you guys in TX Lite (the metromess).

You guys that are so smart, you do it on your own, really help me. Seen people save a little and then lose a lot. Setting it up so it’s best at time of making payment can get costly. One inadequately covered claim can be financially devastating.

The industry is out of control. They made it possible for people who live in Frisco to come out on top to the detriment of everybody that has to pay. There are a multitude of other contributing factors.

Progressive is doing well right now. Most every other company you guys recognize is and has been losing money. Plain & simple, it sucks. Good luck in your endeavors.

I have been with State Farm for 36 years now

I can't find anyone to beat my rates on vehicles

They offer so many discounts like multiply car, Mulitply policies, you can't beat them. I have had police come to my house to check my locks/doors and windows and they offer some kind of discount for that, burgular alarm discount pay for the alarm.

And they get bottom of the line coverage sometimes.

I have done thousands of insurance claims on homes, these people who cheap out get their claimed denied when they file.

I would stay with a name brand that's been around, now of days way too many unknown like Elephant, Lemonade, etc

Companies are looking at replacing vehicle rather than driving record or cost
My opinion I am not an underwriter

Agree. I almost know because I own five cars with full coverage when I shouldn't be carrying that much. Why do I? Because the insurance company over-values my fleet...because so does the rest of the world. 800K miles worth of crap where the newest is 2014 and all together they're really worth $25K but the insurance has them valued at $50K.

Pass the gravy.

My mom was with State Farm for 43 years, got carjacked at gunpoint and they totaled the car. It took over 60 days to settle and we had to push them hard to finish. Only claim was a one year old subaru with 6,000 miles. They should have wrote a check the first day. Like a good neighbor NAH they can go ::::: themselves.

I have a sports car that sits outside, Couple years ago it got hail damage, took it to some body shop where they had an agent doing hail claims, they dude wrote me a check for like 5K for some hail damage on the roof and hood, I told him I was just gonna keep the cash since the car is an outside car and what happens if it gets more hail damage, he said the existing one are noted and if any new ones occur they would pay again.

I was kinda impressed and kinda shocked.
