Thought this would get more eyes here. I have several that fog, even though they are under at least a few feet of tree canopy ( so not broad open). Crappy cameras, a secret I don’t know, or something else?

I`ve had the same problem with my cameras over the years. I don`t know if there's much you can do either. I always imagine the deer that are in the foggy pictures are B&C bucks also. They maker anti fogging spray for glasses and other items. Here`s a cheap from off Amazon.

'Got two Tactacams, one slightly higher elevation, one low on a flat by a wash, both out in the open. This time of year, the low one sends useless morning pictures, all fogged up. Of course, that set is where I've seen pics of the largest buck on the place, cruising by in the middle of the night.

Almost all my morning pics are useless, very foggy and blurred from
Dew. They usually start sending good pics by around 9am.

I have considered putting a cap over the camera in the past, not sure if that would help, so
I never did. It isnt a big deal to me.

Had a Tactacam do this las month. Will say something bumped it and it was pointing down at the ground. had a rain during this time and had moisture behind lens. Called customer support and they told me to remove battery holder and antenna place it under a fan, this remedy is on their website.
It did clear up but still not happy as I only have a few months warranty remaining.

I'm sure when it happens again a week out of warranty it will be Sorry Charlie.

Know that doesn't solve your problem but my try to dry it out for 24 to 48 hours and see if problem persists.

Really noticed it bad this year. Maybe always been an issue but just noticing it cause went all 11 cell cams. By looking at them regular it may just seem worse. You can look in real time and see that some are much worse than others. I dont have an answer. Contacted Spartan and they said check gasket at antenna and sure enough the worse one was missing. Also there are silicon packet thingys you can put in to soak up moisture but that may be for other issues. We enclosed ours with a little roof for sun and rain and no idea if it helps. Hope some one has some insight.

Purchased 2 new browning game cams this past year, no problems with them yet, thou the older wildgame cams
are now doing the fog thing. I find that putting a old metal shield or roof like over the cameras seems to keep rain,
and moisture at times off. Other threads said about glass cleaner with a q=tip should do nicely. Remember the seals
on these are game cams are not the best. Not used any of wireless remote cell cameras. Cannot justify another cell
phone bill. Retirement doesnt warrant more bills, just more NFA items.

If its just the outside of the lens you could try white foam shaving cream, works on mirrors. If it’s the inside, desiccant packs.

I'm running two cameras on opposite sides of a wheat field and one does fine while the other hasn't gotten a clear morning pic in a month.
The one getting good pics is under more tree cover. Only difference I can think of.

I beg you to switch them and report back. Really.
One of my hunters said a particular camera had more issues cause there was a lot more weeds/grass in that area. I’m clueless to that. I don’t understand dew, dew point, relative humidity etc but evidently the real tall grass has a lot more surface area with a bunch of spindly up and down stuff to attract moisture and then it lets it off. As opposed to a flatter surface to not attract as much moisture. Greek to me, but I don’t like the bad pics so I’m listening…

Dish soap might work. Put a dab on a paper towel and wipe the lens down with it. Never tried it on a camera, but it works great on deer blind windows that fog up.

Wipe a lens with paper towel? Horrers. Use a Q tip. Liquid soap will reduce surface tension so you get a water film vs droplets. Lens stays cooler than damp air so condensation on it. Not much can be done. Breeze will make it gone faster.

Cat Crap is what is what most police agencies use on their weapon optics to stop fogging. It works great on cams too,
