I shot this fella Friday night. 308 with 150 gold dots about 100 yards. Hit him in the neck so quick death. Didn’t see a single deer Friday through Sunday morning. Acorns are just falling nonstop as I was hunting. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/11/full-56970-405899-img_1095.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/11/full-56970-405900-img_1096.jpeg)

I got this one a week ago in Montague County. 100 yds 200gr Hornady Interlock. Walking quartering away hit behind the shoulder and ran 20 yards. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/11/full-10221-405937-20231111_174540.jpg)

I don't think so. Maybe we should start a thread. He was certainly Eurasian looking boar.

Mind sharing what rifle and can that is? I'm looking for my next rifle set up.

Man, that is one fugly pig. Good shooting! Yes, and agreed. Man, I don't like handling dead hogs and I enjoy it less when they are wet and/or muddy.

Sick Train, It’s a Ruger Hawkeye Scout with rattle can camo. The synthetic stock version is 6lbs and has a 16” threaded barrel. Stock comes with an aluminum bedding chassis in the stock. The suppressor is titanium and the scope is 1-8 Primary Arms PLX which is made in Japan and weighs 17 ounces. Optic is illuminated and is mil based. Can is a Q Trash Panda. The setup is 42” long suppressed and about 8.5lbs. I was trying to build a “Swiss Army” type hunting rifle that could do just about anything out to reasonable hunting distances and was easy to carry. Here is a closer look. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/11/full-56970-406210-img_1093.jpeg)
