I had a pair or white leather New Balance but at least they were golf shoes I didn't wear otherwise. I gave them away. My brother in law dresses like those guys in the picture, is a few years younger, and just bought a new V8 Camaro.

Big WRONG. Sorry, but the 80-82 is by far the worst ever followed by the 84. There are no 83's. The 82's had the worst fuel injection ever ... Crossfire Injection as did the 84's. The carb'd 80-82 had less than 200 HP. Most modern 4 cylinders make more.

Wow! The most undesirable fuel injection outside of Crossfire is Tuned Port. Absolute archaic trash. I'd rather have a carburetor. LT1 not that much better. The LS saved the world.

Pass the gravy.

Rare for clothing styles to hold up over time. This is a picture of me 40 years ago. If you see me today, I'm basically dressed exactly the same (tshirt and BDUs). In this way I'm like those Corvette owners... I am all in. [Linked Image]

No but you will appreciate this more than anyone on the Forum. I had just crossed the railroad tracks in front of the old Gainesville High school heading west so I could turn right at the stop sign to get to the back parking lot. My brother was in the backseat and my buddy was in the front. A guy in my grade was driving a 1-ton flatbed came over that rise heading west over the tracks and hit me going about 20 mph. We hit the car in front of us and the car in front of that hit the car in front of it. There were two girls that were probably freshman that started crying when they got out of the front car. It totaled the pinto. It was a 74 model automatic 4 cylinder. About as uncool as you can imagine in 1985.

Fortunately my dad had taken it to Ford (recall?) and I guess they did the fuel filler neck fix that was causing the issue. Soon after that I had my 71 Mustang and was scouring Gilbert's wrecking yard and every other wrecking yard starting to build the car up over the years. This photo was taken in Mississippi before we moved to Gainesville.

Our Lord was with my brother and I my friend that day. Amazing we got out unscathed. Oh and I still drive Fords today. In my camos and t-shirts. Sorry this is sloppy voice to text conversion.

67 Vette with a 427 cu" engine IMO was the best combo of looks and power up

So I live close enough to that campus to hit one of the building with a thrown baseball from my yard. It's now a Junior High where my youngest of four attends 8th grade. Gilbert is retired from the Sheriff role and still owns the wrecker company. We probably know a lot of the same people. My good friend was GHS class of 1990 (I think).

Have not but would love to! Bet you have to pay attention or it will get away from you quick, probably a light work out driving it for long periods.

Dad was a vette man and growing up he had several. He got the first ‘84 released in Dallas one early Saturday morning and got pulled over within 30 min just so the officer could take a look at it. (That was when they went from the mako shark to the more futuristic style. (Trivia: ‘83 was the only year they didn’t make a vette)

In 2006 I got one of my own and it was a blast until we had another child and had to be smart about how we were livinggrin Back about 15 years ago, dad got a wild hair and decided he wanted to completely restore a C1. He is meticulous about EVERYTHING so it turned out great. I learned a lot and had a blast helping him with that ‘59 and we won a lot of trophy’s at car shows with it. He sold that one and wanted to relive his old C2 days, so we got a ‘63 and went through the same full restoration process with it. They were a lot of fun!

Nice

How tall are you?

How difficult is it to get into and out of?

I am a fan of corvettes 63 and older. That new body style though is amazing. Looks like a super car without the price tag.

It's not my C8 ... it's for sale at my place of employment. Odd to see a specialty color on a Vette that is available on a Sonic too...

The longest we have had a C8 is probably six days. 3/4 of them are sold when they arrive. We used to sell 2-3 Vettes a year and now it's as many as GM will send us.

We did have two Z06s already. One had a sticker of $168K.

Pass the gravy.

Here’s mine. Great 1st year C3 body style but a real PIA to work on. It’s for sale if anyone has the time and money. I sold a 68 Camaro to buy this. Worst move ever. Luckily I’ll inherit my Mom”s 68 Firebird one day. I know that’s a lot of 68s. Not by design, just happenstance.

As for the pic and shoes? Not happening. I’m 58 now and still wear Vans. When living in Austin I belonged to the Longhorn Corvette Club. Good group.

Nice. Definitely a step up from the '67 yet very hard to see out of and zero leg room. Chassis is basically the same.

Yes, my salesman bought a new C8 and paid MSRP, he didn't have to pay over like most did.
