Do you prefer one over the other? Adv/dis adv? Trying to decide which one to stick with. Worry about range with a bow. However, finding in the national forest its hard to get far shots anyways ( I don’t sit on right of ways) . So many trees, and brush to contend with. Plus having to cart a large rifle compared to a bow, while packing in climbing sticks, platform, etc. Just curious about y’all’s experience.

Rifle.

At some point in life its time to quit chasing the pot of gold and just enjoy the rainbow. FR

Easier with a rifle than a bow. I’ll leave the horse after I get back to where I want to be if using a bow. Deer are less spooked while travel on horseback than on foot. They smell horse more than man (or woman). Horses can get you there in the dark too.

Already went over my hunting budget many moons again, doubt the wifey will let me spring for a horse. Plus the HOA won’t look to kindly on a horse in the back yard.

I believe he's talking about a tree saddle not horseback hunting.
