Anyone ever had to use one? I’m getting close to being there.

Have you tried the consumer complaint department with the state yet?

I couldn’t imagine laying in pain waiting for the State to get a company from Maryland to get moving. But I will lay a complaint down as well depending on today’s conversation.

Call them up and speak with them at the number you find here. In addition, you can hire a lawyer if you find one who will take your case.

Follow this portal to file a health insurance complaint.

If that insurance company does business in Texas, then the State of Texas will have some power over them.

If the health insurance is through your employer, get them involved as well.

TDI no longer has any powe in Texas

Back around 2000 when they had the Home Owners Insurance thing were they were cancelling Home Owners and not issuing new policies, the big 3 : Farmers, All State and State Farm ripped the teeth out of the TDI.

TDI just needs to be sunsetted and fade away, it's a joke.

You could be correct, but I have witnessed, on many occasions, my wife (RN who worked for Humana for many years) mentioning reporting an office to the TDI, and the stupid little girl on the other end of the phone changing her tune toot sweet.

Thanks for checking. The phone conversation went my way yesterday and I’m scheduled to have 1st of 3 back injections on Monday. Man I pray it gets the sciatica to relax.

Best of luck to you, d'n'b. I know back issues can be life-long. It has been for me.

Aetna is kind enough to offer me a plan for next year for 500.00 more a month, that's a 77% increase, mainly for the privilege of having someone in India attempt to read me something that isn't true, like which doctors or facilities are in network, that I can read myself off the same website. This is because I've been so pissed I just private paid for what little I needed and didn't have any claims filed. The system is beyond broken.

You mind naming which company? Are they denying the claim for a reason such as pre-existing condition or experimental?

I was paying $ 1,100/mo for an individual policy for years/. My life got better when I hit Medicare age and signed up for Plan G supplement with Cigna. Yes, the price is going up 25% for next year, but that will still only be around $260. per month. I haven't come across a doctor yet who doesn't accept the combo as payment in full, and I don't need a referral to see specialists.

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

Understood. 2 years to go. It's not without it's own problems, but hopefully it will be an improvement.

Physical therapy is cheaper than injections?

I had the back injections a few years ago for the same thing, couldn't stand up straight. The first "pain management" place would knock me out first which is a bummer. My new place asked me first if I wanted to be knocked out and I declined. Much easier experience, just a little pressure felt. Haven't had to go back for my back, but last year I went in for my neck. Hope you get relief.

Mine said that, also said I should have tried chiropractic 1st.

They got quiet when I asked where they’d like me to send the 4k in decompression therapy receipts and I’m sure I can get the records of pt in 2018.
