18 teeth per inch, but we use limb loppers alot of the the time.
Used to do all with a hacksaw, now either sawzall or loppers.

A butchers bone saw has been pretty dang handy in our deer camp for over 20 years. Mine is an antique that used to be my grandfather's. I have only had to replace the blade on it once. It will last my lifetime too. Lots of similar ones on Amazon. Cuts deer legs and heads off faster than a sawzall and no battery needed.

We used the hitch rack I bought at Cabela's for $123 and it worked great. Loppers are good for the lower legs. Never needed a saw for breaking down a deer.

Two key features if looking for a hitch hoist. A bracket at the top to hold the gambrel and deer/hog in place, and the ability to swivel the top half of the hoist. This later feature makes it very easy to swing the load around 180 degrees and lower it onto the tailgate/truck bed.

I have one that an ex employer and his old hunting buddy invented and sold. But they couldn't get cost down enough to sell a bunch of them. It was called the Herculift. They gave me one to give to my dad when I first went to work for them 2005, I still have it but never use it. I think I'm gonna have a hitch receiver added to each side of my trailer to use it on if needed though. It's way more stout than any others I have seen but I think the lowest they got price down to was like $300 -$350. Dad lifted a 3 seater Sea Doo off a trailer, moved trailer out and pulled another under it and lowered it back down without issue.

His son sold the patent and inventory in about 2006. never saw another thing about it.

It appears to have one key shortcoming - No extension beyond the hitch bar so the ground can take most of the load. All the weight will be on the trailer hitch and rear suspension. You can see how it's leaning back in the photo shown.

One with this type design might be a better option.

I totally agree, I didn't see that one. The one I posted popped up in an email, they may be watching what I click on. LOL

the older I get, the more one of those hoists could come in handy.

havent used at hitch rack, have used butchers saw and reciprocating saws, but now I just take everthing apart at joints. I will say they sell stainless steel reciprocating saw blades on Amazon for cutting meat and bone.

I have the HME hitch hoist mounted on Kawasaki Pro-FXT. Had to use 6” receiver offset for ground clearance. Works great!

I can see that working quite well. Because practically all the load weight is carried by the hoist's ground post, it doesn't take a lot of weight on the hitch bar to keep it steady.

I use both compound loppers and sawz-all when taking a critter apart.

Ordered these blades off Amazon and am well pleased with the way they work.
