Besides a good freeze, is there a commercial pheromone or something similar that can be sprayed around the blind windows to keep the wasps and hornets away?

Hotshot pest strips help. If they stay in there they will die. They were horrible this weekend.

I havent found anything yet.
I bug bomb all the blinds before season but the real problem is under my porch, the wood bees and hornets will swarm it for a couple of days every year.

Same here with the bug bombs, but most of my blinds are pretty tight. I guess you could try leaving one of the old-fashioned traps hanging; kinda messy to clean though. They work. 'Used to have ground hornets bad at the last house.
'Last lease I was on no one could be troubled to worry about them except me. I bombed the hell out of every one of those crappy, LO provided blinds. In true west Texas (this place was between Sheffield and Sanderson), bees, wasps, et al are serious about any kind of structure, the rare decent-sized tree, etc.

Just to be clear - when in the stand this past weekend, I was bombarded with the wasps and hornets. I could close the windows, but that defeats the purpose of “hunting.”

What skeeteroneal said. Hotshot no pest strips. Kills what’s in there plus deters them from coming back. Only $7 and lasts 2 months. I take mine out and sit it outside blind when I’m in the blind. It put off a gas vapor that keeps the wasps and Yellowjackets away. Recommend 100%

I put screens on my windows. Pull a piece of cardboard and slide the gun out, easy and quiet.

I do this around my house, should work anywhere: go to your local chemical/ag/sprayer shop and get some Taurus SC. I think you can also order it online, but I have yet to do that. Put it in a sprayer, mix as it says, spray around the blind. They will not try and build nests there. It usually lasts about 3 months. Just long enough to last through the season. I haven’t had a wasp/bee/hornet nest at my house since I started using it 3 years ago. I usually apply every 4 months. It is fairly pricey (I wanna say my local store has it for about $50 for 20 oz., but it lasts awhile.

leave them alone - they don't want to hurt you. Be agressive with them and you will pay,

They are just looking for a place to Winter and most will leave in the Spring. Freezing will not kill them just make them not active.

I spray all my blinds with Demon WP in August and all I have are dead or dying wasps when I see one.
