First day was pretty nippy Jes. 18 degrees and 30+ MPH gusts. But plenty of walking in heavy snow and corn stubble will keep you warm.

Most of the corn was harvested on this farm, but they left plenty of edge strips uncut for bird cover and hunting. Some of the fields were an azz-kicking to get through and the birds held very tight. Dog's did a good job of flushing and retrieving.

Good to see y’all got in them! Where we were Thursday got a foot of snow. Drifts 3’ in places. Hunting in that is a good workout and enjoyable. Cold when you get out but you warm up pretty fast. I love the high plains.

Looks like a great time! Hard to beat hunting pheasants in the snow, and very jealous of the Stagg Jr.!
